Hardest Goodbye

Hannah (8 weeks)
Tonight we celebrate Hannah's life. She has been thoroughly spoiled this evening...choice treats with  lots of love and attention. This is her last evening with the family.

My Hannah will always have a special place in my heart.  She chose me.  I still see that sweet face looking up at me among all those yapping puppies while I tried to settle on one and watching as she waddled over to settle little tush on my shoe.  It was love at first sight, for both of us. She has been a faithful, protective and loving companion for us all.

Tomorrow morning she will cross the Rainbow Bridge and I will be with her as she takes her last breath. She will then be able to run once more. Running without dragging herself, without losing her balance, without the look of utter frustration and confusion on her beautiful face. I am sure her buddy Shadow will be waiting for her on that bridge. Oh the adventures they will have!!! I wish I could witness their reunion.

Hannah...you were my favorite hello....and my hardest goodbye. We will meet again one day. Until then...run free my dear friend.
