Make A Wish

Another year ends...and we are all probably setting up goals for the new year.  Some of us want to lose weight, get a new job, move into a bigger house or just a simple wish for better health. We always try to reinvent ourselves, entering the new year feeling really good about achieving even a tenth of our goals within the first two weeks. Then sadly, by February those resolutions go out the door with last week's trash.

I am very guilty of setting up myself for failure by creating unrealistic resolutions.  I have always had the will power, the hard edge of determination that is needed.  Some may say it's stubbornness! The problem is I have too many irons in the fire to keep up the energy level to achieve even one goal.

This year I have decided on one small goal for myself. One thing I am sure of, if I want to do something bad enough, I focus all my attention on that one goal and I always get it done. It follows the old saying, "Where there is a will...there is a way!"

Winter Wonderland

We are officially into the new year! How is it going so far?  Are those resolutions being reconsidered? Good luck in keeping to the plan!

I didn't make any resolutions this year, since I always throw them out the window in a matter of weeks.  Perhaps I should have gone ahead and thoughtfully laid out a plan for a "new me". This time it may have worked out differently!  Always optimistic!

Well it snowed here a couple of inches...weather is absolutely frigid for the desert. Highs the last few days have lingered between 20 to 35 degrees.  Perfect weather for a sleigh ride...just need a few more inches of snow and a layer of ice!!  Of course, I settled for hot tea and bundled blankets. 😉

New Beginnings 2017

To new beginnings and bitter endings...welcome to 2017! May the new year be blessed with peace, health and prosperity for all!

The beautiful woman is by Alex Prihodko called "Blossom Fairy". She is available at Pics For Design.   The cluster frame was created by me from a PTU scrap kit by Jo Jo Creations called "Happy New Year 2016" and is available at Scraps & Co.  Canvas is 800x800, 96 resolution, transparency checked. Mask of my choice by WSL, Mask #364. Firework animation by Scrappy Bit of Fun and can be purchased at Creative Designs Outlet. The 2017 glitter tag was created by me using Corel Paint Shop Pro X9 and Animation Shop.

All Dressed Up!

Getting ready to party! The beautiful lady is by Very Many called "Blanche".  The cluster was a FTU frame, but I do not remember where I got it from. Scrap kit used was PTU "Happy New Year 2016" by Jo Jo Creations.

 

Canvas size 700x700, 96 resolution, transparent checked. The mask I used is FTU "DD_NFM_2 by Dangerously Delicious. You can find it here along with a few other freebies.  Porselein effect by Xero on the merged tag was used to bring out the colors. 

I can't believe 2017 is almost here! This year just flew by...and I don't feel I accomplished very much in my personal life. Still thinking it over....enjoy your evening!

Champagne Toast

Here is my first New Year's tag. I actually finished this one days ago, but got caught up with other graphic fun that I forgot to post it!

This is another Very Many tube called "Valentina".  I used a very glitzy FTU cluster frame by Vesta, from a FTU scrap kit by Daniela E. called "Happy New Year 2016 Free" available at Pics for Design.

By the way, Vesta is closing her blog soon, so be sure to grab whatever kits/clusters you can get before they are gone.  They are all free!

I used a PTU mask by Paci, #13 to fill in the background. Canvas size is 800x800 pixels, 72 resolution, transparent layer. I used Xero, porcelain effect to bring out the colors and Xero, radiance effect to brighten text.

Getting used to using PSP PRO X9...its much better than PSP PRO X6. Most of my filters from PRO X2 can now be loaded into it. I hated PRO X6 because it wouldn't load my filters.  Also it wouldn't update.  This one does! Yay!

I am still watching the 60 hour marathon of Game of Thrones, day 3...Third Season...whew! That's the one with the red wedding...and I still get shocked every time I watch it.  Now to do some reading before calling it a night.
