Just Junk

Another week has gone by...almost August and we are still keeping safe...staying home. I am so tired of it, but I really don't have much of a choice.  I would really love to go out to dinner without wearing a mask or worrying about being close to any one.  Ugh! When will this nightmare be over?

I took Heidi to the vet on Tuesday...she is growing so fast! This visit was for her last series of shots and a quick exam. She is now up to 29 pounds, but I swear she is heavier.  I can hardly pick her up...gone is the little puppy.  Heidi will be 4 months old on Saturday! I guess I should be happy that time is moving quicker than I feel it. To me...a week feels like a month.

Heidi is napping so its time to work on another picture.  The above one was done several days ago...just love steampunk! I think I am going to start working on some fall tags...Halloween anyone? Let's see what I can come up with this year. 😉

The Steampunk Era

Crazy heat has us all sheltering in the house. So we spend time in different rooms so we feel that we went somewhere or did something.  I am really and truly tired. I think everybody is at this point. Taking vitamins by the handfuls so I don't get sick. 

The heat has even gotten to the puppy, she's cranky, irritable and tends to the zoomies. I am exhausted with her boundless energy and my depleted one. One day she will settle down...who said raising a puppy was fun?  Her greatest accomplishment is she is finally potty trained...until she see's Ashley then she pee's in a ring of excitement around her. Thank god its been outside and not in the house! 😂

Sassy Twist

It's been a very busy week! I like busy, time passes quickly.  We are still staying home, staying safe and being strong.  This week will be the first time I will be getting out of the house and into Tucson, on my own. Looking forward to the drive in...haven't driven in almost two months! I hope I haven't forgotten!! 🤣

I hope everyone had a lovely Mother's Day. My Mother's Day was wonderful. My girls brought me flowers and lovely cards, a necklace and a squishy stuffed horse. Just having them both home to share a great dinner meant a lot to me. ❤

Hopefully, now that hubby is retired, I will be able to create more tags. My muse is not peeking out much these days.  I have been a bit depressed for the last week and started spacing out Facebook and Twitter. So far I have noticed a positive difference in how I am feeling. There is just too much political negativity these days lurking in both social media venue's. I am just glad that I don't watch the news as much as I did before too.  Re-watching "The Soprano's" and "Westworld"...keeping up with all the movies on Netflix and the latest Star War's movie on Disney+... (gee, I saw that in January 2020 before I got sick) makes me forget about all the craziness in this world today. 

When I logged into Blogger today, I got a pleasant surprise. Google has very busy updating the Blogger platform. I must say it is a refreshing overhaul, but will take some getting used to.  I may just have to blog a bit more!  Actually, the layout looks like my One Note program now.  That might make it kind of confusing...in a way.  

I should be getting some updated pictures of the puppies today! YAY!  Amazing how fast they are growing!  They are now 5 weeks old!  I recently bought quite a few items...puppy pads, collars, treats and I was surprised at how quickly they are being shipped. That saves me from going to PetSmart and braving the crowds.  All I need now is a bed and some toys! I am waiting for feeding details so I can continue the diet the breeder started them on. I should get that when I pick up my new baby! 😊

Steamin Along

We made it to May!! Hope everyone is healthy and doing well. We are hanging in there...hopefully we will be able to get out more as Arizona slowly opens up. Not planning on anything important or anywhere in particular...just nice to know we can move about a bit more easily. 

My main thing right now is getting to PetSmart to get some new toys, chews and treats for my new puppy! I need a new bed and of course, some food (waiting to hear from the breeder on that) and collars, both flea/tick and pretty leather ones.  I am more than likely to go with a harness...worry about straining a new puppy's neck.  The collar is for taking cute pictures! I know we can purchase online, but I love shopping for dog/cat stuff in the store.  I do use the online and home delivery for repeat orders. I will admit to being a crazy....lol.

This is hubby's last week of work...Friday it's finally over for him. He is a bit apprehensive about retiring at this time. Who knew a pandemic was going to hit?  I told him it will take time to adjust to not working.  Took me awhile...now I have to adjust to him being home.  I am hopeful it will all work out.

One nice thing about his retiring...I get my laptop back. I miss creating tags when the urge hits me.

Ginger Zero

Hope everyone is well and keeping safe! We are all doing fine, although hubby is driving my girls crazy with the social distancing within the house.  We manage to survive it, with a bit of frustration. I have been housebound now for 7 weeks...gah! I have another doctor appointment in May, along with an appointment to take my car in for servicing. I am really looking forward to driving...sheesh...sound desperate! 😂

My husband is retiring on May 8th...finally bit the bullet after procrastinating for so long.  I guess I will get control of my laptop back so I can do resume creating. (Signals my muse to come out of hiding!!)

Of course, no travel plans in sight...and I did so want to visit my sister this summer. I will have to forego that trip until there is a vaccine...I really don't want to fly anywhere right now.  Hubby said we might be able to drive...but he always say's "we" and it usually becomes "me".  I don't think its a good time to go anywhere. I am also worried about my youngest Ashley.  She has booked a trip to New York in October.  I am hoping she will get to go, but also worried.  We are watching Governor Cuomo's press briefings since he is 100 times more honest than our lying wackadoodle president.

I have been bingeing on Netflix and HBO...love Westworld and The Plot Against America! I never read the book, but now I am interested.  Phillip Roth is a great writer...don't know how I missed this one, having read most of his other books.  If you have HBO, give the series a look...the book was adapted to the screen by David Simon, the same producer of "The Wire", another great HBO series. Westworld is much more exciting this year than last...so far I think I have re-watched the released episodes of Season 3 a few dozen times.

I am waiting on more pictures of the puppies.  I really want some close up's of the females. I know I can't pick one out yet as the breeder has first choice..but I would like to see their faces!! So excited and looking forward to when my puppy will be coming home.  I have a potential list of names available to try out...silly I know.
