Feeling the crisp air of autumn! Can't you smell the pumpkin spice? 

This scrap kit is perfect for those darkening fall nights leading up to Halloween! My sexy witch is by Keith Garvey and I simply adore her. I purchased "Tabitha" many years ago and drag her out at least once a year for Halloween. Unfortunately, I don't have very many of Garvey's tubes and need to visit his website soon.  For this tag,  I used a mask by Fecnikek. You can find it here.

Feeling darkness surrounding us all...

I feel such sadness in the world today, one disaster after another.   The black rose symbolizes sadness, mourning, death or bad omen. Usually a symbol of anything sinister, dark, rebellious, evil and many people use them in funerals as a sign of bereavement and commiserations.

Using the beautiful gothic tube "Black Roses" by Very Many along with elements from a great kit, "Black Rose" by Gothic Inspirations I tried to create an atmosphere of darkness and deep sorrow.  So far, every kit I have purchased at Gothic Inspirations has been a wonderful addition to my collection. The mask I used is by Jackie's Jewels and unfortunately, no longer available.

Another gorgeous witch, along with her familiar, getting ready to cast her spell.  As always, I find Alex's witches just too beautiful to call scary. I do enjoy collecting as many as I can!  I used elements from the scrap kit "Dead of Night".  This kit is fast becoming a favorite of mine!

Beautiful fall cluster frame with a gorgeous tube by Very Many called "Carol".  The frame contains elements from the scrap kit, "Autumn Comfort" by Pink Paradox Productions. Carol adds a classic look, she reminds me of Marilyn Monroe in a way. She has such beautiful eyes!!!

The witching hour has finally arrived and our gorgeous witch is busy casting spells in preparation of Halloween. She has her familiar spirit, a cute black kitten, assisting her. It's almost time for "Trick or Treat" and the little goblins will be out seeking goodies!  Our witch is ready for their arrival with her delicious red apples.  Just be careful...never know what kind of magic those apples may bring. Oh my!! Almost forgot!! Watch out for those spiders!!! 

I used elements from my favorite witchery scrap kit, Autumn Witchery by Pink Paradox Productions.  I love...love...love this kit!  To add a bit of  darkness to the tag, I used a mask from Fecnikek. Fecnikek is a new website I recently discovered, where one can find awesome frames, word art and masks.  You can find the mask here.

A little bit of witches lore from "The Book of Shadows":

The witch is able to telepathically communicate with her cat familiar and has trained her familiar to be on the alert for earthy visitors, ghosts and spirits. The cat also alerts the witch to people who are good or bad. The familiar always travels with the witch on the back of her broomstick. The witch and her familiar become more bonded as time goes by.  The cat from a kitten has a certain air of worldly knowledge and from young is admitted to the witch's spiritual rituals. Cat familiars always should be thanked for their assistance and given treats for their support and love. 

(By the way, the familiar loves catnip!!!)

Scrap Kit "A Touch of Magic" by Gothic Inspirations

Let's go on a midnight ride! Beautiful witch by ©Nocturne taking aim at the moon. She's used her magic spell to enable her broom to fly to lofty heights.  Hardly a scary site, but I couldn't resist building this tag using elements from Gothic Inspirations "A Touch of Magic".  This is another great scrap kit with a lot of magical elements. Topping it off, I added a FTU Animation 514 from Simone, which you can find here.

Halloween Witch by Alex Prihodko

Ever walk through a cemetery late at night?  I always get shivers thinking about it. So many shadows and weird shapes...its a definite place to haunt on the scariest night of the year.

When I saw Alex Prihodko's beautiful tube, Halloween Witch, I immediately thought of her visiting the cemetery, carrying her lantern and asking everyone to hush while she entered the gates. Using elements from Danse De La Morte, I tried to create a Halloweenish atmosphere.  So many elements to choose from in this wonderful kit! I had so much fun designing this tag.  As an added touch,  I also used a FTU Halloween mask from Fecnikek. You can find it here.
