Amazing how quickly time is passing. Almost March and that means St. Paddy's Day is almost here!   A time for celebrating the Irish way....lots of cold beer!! LOL

A wee bit of Irish logic....lets not refer to St.Patrick's Day as St. Patty's. It riles the Irish up, causes them to spit their beer in rage and makes them want to fight...you know...more than the usual.  The correct way to honor the sacred saint of the green isle is to refer to it as St. Paddy's Day!

Paddy is derived from the Irish, Pádraig: the source of those mysterious, emerald double-Ds.Patty is the diminutive of Patricia, or a burger, and just not something you call a fella.There isn’t a sinner in Ireland that would refer to a Patrick as “Patty”. It’s as simple as that.

Let's start planning those green beer and corned beef and cabbage parties!! (Somehow that always makes Americans feel Irish on St. Patrick's Day!)

Feeling the need, the need for Spring!  Not looking forward to the Arizona torrid temperatures, but I love the balmy spring days before May.  Hoping to have a few of them soon!

Beautiful fairy by Alexandra Vanhek. She sits among the flowers she just finished painting in lovely shades of pink, blue, purple and yellow, the harbinger of spring days to come! The scrap kit has many spring elements and papers to compliment the upcoming spring holidays!

Gorgeous fairy tube by Amy Brown.  Alas, her tubes are no longer available for purchase.  I am so glad I took advantage of gathering a few of her pieces before they were gone forever.  I used a wonderful scrap kit by Pink Paradox Productions. There are so many elements and papers to choose from in this kit which makes it perfect for spring and St Patty's Day creations.  I texturized the background for the canvas effect and used a mask by Dragonfly.  The frame was created by me, using Paint Shop Pro borders and effects. 

This type of digital art reminds me of traditional artwork.  I love it!

Almost Valentine's Day...hubby and I celebrated early on Friday night.  Yummy dinner at Flemings...a very enjoyable evening.

I couldn't resist this cute chihuahua puppy!! Isn't he just precious?  Background was created using a wonderful Bella Caribena scrap kit that has elements and papers with vintage tones.  I utilized a technique to create a simulated glass frame within a frame.  The mix of pink and lavender colors and textures contributed to creating a softly romantic picture.  

The word "precious" just popped into my head when it was completed.  Sometimes, I don't even have an idea of a title while creating.  I just follow a design held in my mind and worry about a title afterwards. First word that comes to mind is the "winner".  

Valentine Day is getting closer!!! Two weeks to go!!! 💘💘
