The witching hour has finally arrived and our gorgeous witch is busy casting spells in preparation of Halloween. She has her familiar spirit, a cute black kitten, assisting her. It's almost time for "Trick or Treat" and the little goblins will be out seeking goodies!  Our witch is ready for their arrival with her delicious red apples.  Just be careful...never know what kind of magic those apples may bring. Oh my!! Almost forgot!! Watch out for those spiders!!! 

I used elements from my favorite witchery scrap kit, Autumn Witchery by Pink Paradox Productions.  I love...love...love this kit!  To add a bit of  darkness to the tag, I used a mask from Fecnikek. Fecnikek is a new website I recently discovered, where one can find awesome frames, word art and masks.  You can find the mask here.

A little bit of witches lore from "The Book of Shadows":

The witch is able to telepathically communicate with her cat familiar and has trained her familiar to be on the alert for earthy visitors, ghosts and spirits. The cat also alerts the witch to people who are good or bad. The familiar always travels with the witch on the back of her broomstick. The witch and her familiar become more bonded as time goes by.  The cat from a kitten has a certain air of worldly knowledge and from young is admitted to the witch's spiritual rituals. Cat familiars always should be thanked for their assistance and given treats for their support and love. 

(By the way, the familiar loves catnip!!!)

Let's go on a midnight ride! Beautiful witch by ©Nocturne taking aim at the moon. She's used her magic spell to enable her broom to fly to lofty heights.  Hardly a scary site, but I couldn't resist building this tag using elements from Gothic Inspirations "A Touch of Magic".  This is another great scrap kit with a lot of magical elements. Topping it off, I added a FTU Animation 514 from Simone, which you can find here.

Halloween Witch by Alex Prihodko

Ever walk through a cemetery late at night?  I always get shivers thinking about it. So many shadows and weird shapes...its a definite place to haunt on the scariest night of the year.

When I saw Alex Prihodko's beautiful tube, Halloween Witch, I immediately thought of her visiting the cemetery, carrying her lantern and asking everyone to hush while she entered the gates. Using elements from Danse De La Morte, I tried to create a Halloweenish atmosphere.  So many elements to choose from in this wonderful kit! I had so much fun designing this tag.  As an added touch,  I also used a FTU Halloween mask from Fecnikek. You can find it here.

Something a bit more simpler for today.  I love this tube by Alec Rud!! So many colors and styles to choose from along with a beautiful selection of wings!  I made the background cluster using a scrap kit called "Autumn Witchery" by Pink Paradox Productions. The kit is a favorite of mine and I have used it in many other backgrounds.  There are quite a few elements that are perfect for that witchy mood!

Feeling better, I decided to tackle another animation. Love the streaming bats!!

For the background on this tag I used a tutorial by Dragonfly, you can find it here.  I found it easy to follow, with very good instructions! Although the vampire chihuahua she used is adorable, I went with a more gothic look, using a tube by Alex Prihodko called "Dark Queen". I also added an extra element...the cool looking black cat. I loved the scrap kit by Gothic Inspirations and plan on buying more....very dark and sexy! The animation is by Simone and is a freebie on her website Scrappy Bit of Fun. You can find it here.

Feeling halloweenish and found this gorgeous vampire by Andreea Cernestean. You can find her tubes at CDO. She also offers bonus tubes from time to time and they are absolutely beautiful and very gothic.  I paired her with Pink Paradox Production scrap kit, Autumn Solitude. Although its named after the autumn season, its really more gothic or halloween. Lots of elements to scare the wits out of someone! 💀

Watching all the news coverage on Hurricane Irma. One has to wonder what got Mother Nature pissed off...hurricanes, earthquake, tornadoes, floods and wild fires.  Could it be...Satan???  Just wondering....😈

Loved the face of this cute pup!! This pup is so precious, I created a wallpaper to go along with the tag.  Will be adding a timeline too!

The scrap kit by Tiny Turtle Designs is filled with gorgeous elements of fall and papers that compliment every aspect of the season.  I managed to purchase "Chico" on one of the sale days that Verymany had and the same for the scrap kit...it was only 59 cents! A great bargain!

Still hanging in there feeling down and now I suspect I am running a fever.  It never ends.... 😟

Been feeling down lately, hoping to snap out of it.  Worried about so many things that I know I have no control over. The weather is cooling down, small thunderstorms that are loud and without much rain keep building up in the late afternoon.  I am looking forward to fall with trepidation.
